Fashion Week Trend: Tights with Shorts

Taking a break from what kind of legwear we're seeing on the runways, I wanted to take a quick look at what they're being paired with. Often it's a dress or skirt. Sometimes, you can see hosiery underneath pants. And sometimes it's a pairing of tights under shorts.

At both New York Fashion Week and London Fashion Week we've seen this pairing quite often. Usually the tights are solid black, or sheer black pantyhose. Occasionally there's a spot of color or pattern to them. Shorts vary from denim shorts with tights to dress shorts or leather shorts; long, short - there are a lot of different ways this style can be worn. I wish more women weren't afraid to cross the fashionazis dictates. Shorts and tights can look great...and it can look awful, like anything else. I personally like to see women in the pleated/cuffed/rolled pretty short look. I like the businessy looking ones. It hardly looks trashy, as many charge, an ultrashort skirt is far trashier (but still delightful to look at).

It goes without saying that legwear looks great on most people. Kudos to StockinGirl for showing the world.

I'm surprised nobody has commented here yet.
